Summary
Native English Educator & EdTech Builder | 7+ Years | Comayagua, Honduras
Teaching a language is really teaching a person to do things in that language. That’s the principle behind my classroom: not memorized grammar rules, but real work—students define a problem, plan, execute, revise, and validate a result they can stand behind. Over 7 years and 24,000+ sessions, online and in Comayagua classrooms, that approach has produced independent learners. As a US citizen with local cultural fluency, I pair native-English proficiency with the on-the-ground understanding of a resident.
I’m now building on that foundation. My focus is adaptive learning systems—turning learning-science into working edtech—and moving those systems from idea into real institutional use.
I hold a strict English-immersion environment for students while communicating with parents in full working Spanish, closing the cultural gap that challenges other foreign staff. The goal is simple: better outcomes for my students today, and better tools for learners everywhere tomorrow.
